Meet The Couple
Welcome to a glimpse of our journey together! From chance encounter to building dreams side by side, we shared smiles, adventure, and a deep love that grows stronger with each day. As we step into this new chapter, we're excited to share our special day with the people who mean the most to us. Get to know a bit about us, our story, and the moments that has brought us here. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Born and raised in Taguig City. The eldest among three siblings, born on January 8, 1992. A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology graduate from STI Global Taguig City. Known for his calm, friendly, and easy-going nature, he enjoys exploring new experiences.

Jany is an IT professional, and by night, a passionate singer-songwriter of an Indie Pop band - Sunflower Station. He enjoys blogging about food and travel adventures.
​
Jany is a film and series enthusiast who loves attending concerts and playing all kinds of games—whether on console, handheld, PC, or mobile. Music and live gigs are his favorite sources of relaxation and inspiration. He also enjoys starting his mornings with a sweet black coffee and going for a run in the afternoon.
​
Jany’s first impression of Mel was that she was sweet and thoughtful. From the start, they shared a strong connection, engaging in deep, meaningful conversations that could go on for hours. Despite their differences, it’s these contrasts that keep their bond exciting, sparking curiosity and a desire to learn from one another.
​
Jany loves how Mel is always there to support him—cheering him on at gigs, understanding when he comes home late, and embracing his gaming hobbies. With Mel, he’s come to realize that love can be simple and effortless. This ease and deep connection led him to propose after just one year together. Jany especially appreciates that whenever a problem arises, they can always talk it through and resolve it within the day, keeping their relationship strong and harmonious.
Born and raised in Bulacan, Mel is the only girl among three siblings, born on October 31, 1994. A Bachelor of Science in Business Management graduate from Bulacan State University, she's known for being sweet yet a little "masungit" type of person. She deeply treasures her family & friends.

Mel has a passion for fashion and has a growing collection of bags, clothes and shoes. A beach lover, she's also a seasoned traveler and loves writing and dogs -- she even has four (poodles and pomeranians). Mel is currently working as a Senior Admin Specialist at BDO Life and is working on her LOMA Certification.

Mel loves Chinese Cuisine, coffee, the series Game of Thrones, reading motivational books and listening to Jany's Tito Playlist - she's a certified Tita and quite and old soul.
Mel initially thought Jany's social , gig-filled lifestyle was too different from her own reserved nature. However, their differences strengthened their connection.
​
Mel loves that Jany always strives for what's best for them as a couple. Their shared love for travel has strengthened their connection, allowing them to grow together and support each other's personal and relationship goals. They approach life as a team, making decisions with mutual respect and purpose. Mel believes that all her failed relationship before led her to the person she was meant to be with, Jany.
Fun Facts as a Couple

The first "Hi" and "Hello" between us was exchanged on May 15, 2022, via Instagram.

We first met on June 3, 2022, when Jany made a surprise visit to Mel's office, bringing coffee and banana bread.

Our first lunch date was at Nono's in Podium, back in June 2022.

Our first trip together was to La Union in July 2022.

Our first flight together was to Bohol.

Our favorite coffee date spot is Starbucks Uptown, BGC—the place where we officially became a couple on September 1, 2022.

For our first monthsary, Mel gifted a mug with printed pictures of us together. We also celebrated with a staycation in Tagaytay.

We share a love for travel and food, which is why we decided to document our adventures through our blog, Food and Footsteps PH.

Our favorite cuisine is Chinese Food.

Our first hike together was at Marlboro Hills in Sagada, back in April 2023.

We celebrated our first anniversary and engagement proposal in El Nido on September 1, 2023.

Jany works in IT, while Mel is a banker. They both worked at the same company in the past but never crossed paths.

We've travelled a lot, we have already been to Tagaytay, Rizal, La Union, Davao, El Nido, Coron, Boracay, Sagada, Bukidnon and Bohol.

We shared our love for coffee! Jany loves his coffee black, strong & sweet while Mel enjoyed it more with milk or with creamer.

Our favorite series are House of Dragon & Game of Thrones. Fun fact- we started planning our wedding considering it to be GOT Themed (haha!)
